Thyra is originally from Ithaca, NY and currently lives in Hamilton. She became interested in Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine after tearing her ACL while playing soccer in high school and undergoing surgery and physical therapy.

While earning her Bachelors degree at Skidmore College she focused on sports medicine. She also worked as a Student Athletic Trainer and was a member of the Varsity Softball team.

Her enthusiasm in softball, running, yoga and socializing with her friends keeps her active outside of work.
